Life Coach: poetry to be fired by

Initially published in blog form, this series of short, comic essays (dubbed "comic stills"), came to life as a book after the later essays led to Lewis' firing, merely three weeks into his new management position at the County level.

Follow Lewis through his hilarious navigation of a bizarre post-divorce world, as he travels, parents, dates and seeks work in... well, rather unsuccessful fashion. See the Blog page for excerpts.

Lost Without Moses Presents An original composition of dark rock psychedelia. Nov 3. 830p.
Dirty Laundry Coop

Cooperative farm? Intentional community? Cult? When homeless 50-year-old Gary Blaha is welcomed into the community of the friendly, charismatic and gay Troy Henderson, he has no idea what to make of the new world he’s stepped into, beyond that the people are much younger, radically idealistic, and ambitious. Their leader, the remarkably bright and self-sacrificing Troy, never fails to offer unique opportunities for empowerment and society-shaking initiatives, from shared housing ownership to a takeover of City Council.

Is it really what it seems? As time passes and relationships crumble, Gary has no choice but to question the nature of the Millennials around him -- especially Troy, the self-proclaimed spiritual guru and economic visionary. As the lies pile up, Gary finds himself losing the ability to trust even his own voice, as the drama of the community’s collapse pushes him back into patterns of schizophrenic delusion, and morose reflections of his own traumatic past. Will he be able to muster the courage and sanity to save himself, and those around him, from toxic predation? Or will he succumb to madness under Troy’s pressure and manipulation, and become another chess piece in a narcissist’s game?
